How to Sell Your Property

In Victoria and New South Wales before an estate agent can legally act on your behalf, you need to engage your chosen agency via an agency agreement, which needs to be in writing. The agreement sets out the terms between you, the vendor and the agency and covers the agency sales fee, marketing expenses and length of agency. Which agreement best suits me?

 Method of sale?

There are a number of sale methods in the market; however they are derived from the two core sale methods, private sale (private treaty) and auction.

A Private sale is where a property is placed on the market for sale with a tailored marketing program and an established price. The property is sold through private inspections and from the agency's contacts. Our Client Care system ensures that we have regular contact with all purchasers who have made contact with our agency. The auction method has been highly publicised on high rating reality television shows, and is successful for high demand or unique properties.
